Family House
Dippach

This project integrates several architectural strategies to enhance comfort and environmental performance. On the south side, the design provides sufficient shading to prevent overheating in summer, while the garage on the north façade creates a thermal buffer during the colder months. Because the house is oriented differently from its neighbours, the municipality approved the creation of an open yet private entrance space that aligns with the street. This outer concrete envelope, which includes the garage, technical room and private garden, does not require insulation; its exposed concrete finish, developed through extensive research, guides visitors from the exterior to the heart of the home. Inside, the same exposed concrete forms the central core, integrating built-in furniture, defining the open living areas and organising the vertical circulation.
